ADAM W. ROSEN, is a founding partner of the law firm
of Rosen Feig Golland & Lunn LLP.
Adam has been practicing entertainment law for over fifteen years, both
in-house and in private practice. His broad expertise encompasses a variety of
transactional entertainment services, including: the representation of writers,
directors, actors, and other above and below-the-line talent; providing
development and production legal services; structuring, negotiating and
implementing foreign and domestic co-productions, and film and television
financing transactions; negotiating acquisitions of rights; negotiating
distribution and licensing arrangements; representing and packaging of scripts
and films for development and sale; and other transactional entertainment services.
Adam’s experience encompasses the areas of film and television, live action and
animation, and domestic and international transactions.
From 2000 to
2002, Adam served as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and General
Counsel for RKO Pictures, Inc., as well as a member of RKO’s Executive
Management Committee. In this capacity, Adam handled all business and legal
matters for RKO and all of its divisions, as well as managed RKO’s
international sales department. While at
RKO, Adam negotiated and concluded a number of studio development deals for
RKO, including deals with Dimension Films, Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks.
Prior to
joining RKO, Adam was Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs for Warner
Bros. International Television Production. Adam was recruited by Warner Bros.
in 1996 to build and run the business and legal affairs department for the Studio’s then newly formed international television
production group. While at Warner Bros., Adam structured, negotiated and
implemented a variety of complex international television co-productions,
producing close to 200 hours of programming in just over four years, including
children’s animated TV series, comedy and drama live-action TV series, a
movie-of-the-week for Fox Television Network, and a number of live-action
format series. At Warner Bros., Adam specialized in structuring
“finance-incentive” productions and ensuring project compliance with all
foreign content, financing, legal and broadcaster requirements.
From 1991 to
1996, Adam was in private practice as an entertainment, finance and
corporate/securities attorney at the national law firm of Proskauer
Rose LLP, and prior to that, at the entertainment law boutique of Gipson,
Hoffman & Pancione, where he conducted a diverse
legal practice encompassing motion picture and television finance, production,
distribution, investment and joint venture transactions.
Adam earned
his law degree from UCLA School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, where he graduated cum laude with a
double major in the fields of Anthropology and Philosophy and a minor in
Classical Studies in the field of Latin.
Adam is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States
District Court for the Central District of California, and is a member of Phi
Beta Kappa.
